Tira Mira Amla Pickle (आँवला का अचार ) is prepared using a traditional Bihari method that focuses on patience, time and natural preparation. Unlike modern processes, the amla used in this pickle is not steamed. Raw Indian gooseberries are carefully cut, deseeded and then sun-dried naturally for nearly 15–20 days. This slow sun-drying process requires more time and effort but helps preserve the original character of the fruit.

After sun-drying, the pickle is allowed to mature further inside jars for one to two months. During this resting period, the amla gradually softens and absorbs the spices and oil evenly, developing a deeper flavour and balanced texture. This extended preparation time is the reason the pickle cannot be rushed and is made in limited batches following seasonal traditions.
